The floor has a non reflective, non-skid surface that gives dancers the controlled slip they need. It is excellent for touring and is lightweight (2.42 per linear foot), yet extremely durable. It is made using a manufacturing process that provides a wider, more durable floor that will not delaminate. Dimensionally stable, it is perfect for portable, permanent or semi-permanent installations. Tap shoes with aluminum taps will leave black oxidation marks on vinyl flooring material, this is more noticable with Gray flooring. For this reason we do not recommend gray flooring when using the floor for tap dancing. Tap shoes with steel taps will not leave black marks, yet all tap shoes will leave some non-color markings on the floor. New black jazz shoes may also leave marks on gray flooring.
